TALKING CASH REGISTERS

All registers have raised keys, voice on/off switch, and talking journal reports.  The displays have green LED lighted digits which are 3/8 inch by 5/8 inch, which may be of assistance to some low vision operators.  The cash registers are supported by the SHARP nationwide dealer network. The dealer can provide supplies such as paper tape and ink ribbons. Prices include installation. Restocking fee applies.

This cash register comes with 20 departments standard. The keyboard can be expanded to 50 departments with the installation of an optional memory processor.   The department keys can be programmed with up to 4 tax rates, and can be used with either open or preset prices. With the preset price function, the operator simply presses the department key, and the price is automatically calculated, including any necessary tax rate.  The printer has two paper tapes which provide journal and receipt.  Basic dealer setup is included in the price, which would include programming of one tax rate, training in installation of paper tapes and ribbons, entering a sale, and printing out a journal report.  If advanced programming is required, or if extra parts are needed (such as memory processors), there will be an additional fee from the installing technician.

This is a high capacity cash register which can be used with either a bar code scanner or a scale.  The thermal printer has two paper tapes, one for journal and one for receipt.  It comes with 20 departments standard, but can be expanded to 50 departments with an optional expansion memory processor and new key caps.  The bar code scanner uses the standard UPC codes which are printed on pre-packaged products such as soft drinks and snacks.  The memory capacity is 15000 UPC codes.  With the scale option, a department can be programmed with a preset price so that the operator can place the item on the scale, press the "SCALE" key, and then press the department key, and the cash register will detect the weight, calculate the price per pound, and ring up the amount in the display.  This cash register is intended for applications which require more memory capacity, or a scale or scanner.
